For most of us, when we think “Halloween,” we think John Carpenter. And who better to continue delivering creepy tales set around our favorite holiday than the man who gave us Michael Myers!
From Storm King Productions, the third in a series of graphic novels has been announced and queued up for release this September in comic book stores. (October for regular book stores.)
It started with 2015’s first volume TALES FOR A HALLOWEENIGHT, which featured 6 original horror tales from John Carpenter, Steve Niles, David J. Schow, Trent Olson, James Ninness and Sandy King-Carpenter, along with a wraparound hosted by The Groundscreeper! With Volume 2, they upped their game and their story count! In 2016, they released TALES FOR A HALLOWEENIGHT VOL. 2, which featured 12 more twisted tales, including new ones from writers Steve Niles, Sandy King, John Carpenter, Deirdre Brooks, Mike Sizemore, David J. Schow, Jimmy Palmiotti, Renae Deliz, James Ninness, Steven Hoveke, Duane Swierczynski, Amanda Deibert, Kealan Patrick Burke and Federico De Luca. Now, they’ve announced 12 more frightening stories with TALES FOR A HALLOWEENIGHT VOL. 3! And even cooler, The Hollywood Reporter column Heat Vision just debuted a trailer for the upcoming graphic novel!
For those of you headed to San Diego Comic Con, Co-creator Sandy King Carpenter, writer James Ninness and letterer Janice Chiang will be speaking on a panel Friday from 8-9 p.m. in room 28DE. They’ll also be discussing John Carpenter’s TALES OF SCIENCE-FICTION!
