I still remember catching Bruce Campbell during his very first book tour for IF CHINS COULD KILL at a Long Island book store way out in Huntington. The Q & A session that preceded the actual signing was basically like sitting in on an hour long comedy set. Bruce was on fire, and answered every question with the same fierce honesty and gusto you’d find within the pages of that book. A few years later, he wrote a second novel, MAKE LOVE THE BRUCE CAMPBELL WAY, which unlike its predecessor, was more of a comedic farce involving Bruce getting cast in a big budget Mike Nichols movie and interacting with celebrities like Richard Gere and Renée Zellweger.
Now, he’s going back to the basics and filling us in on what’s been going on in his professional life since that first autobiography came out. Arriving this August 15th, 2017 (just in time for my birthday!) is HAIL TO THE CHIN: FURTHER CONFESSIONS OF A B-MOVIE ACTOR.
Considering the recent revival of the EVIL DEAD franchise with ASH VS EVIL DEAD (I’ve been hearing “EVIL DEAD 4” questions since that first book tour Q & A way back in 2000!) and his success in TV with BURN NOTICE, there’s a lot to read about!
Best of all? He’s going on tour again, baby! Bruce will be hitting up 33 cities in the span of 3 months from August through October in support of the book. This makes sense as he’ll be wrapping up on ASH VS EVIL DEAD Season 3 by the summer, and that should be returning to Starz just in time for Halloween! Below are a batch of dates and locations. Be sure to hit up Bruce’s official website for more details. And you can always follow the man himself over on Twitter!
